JUNE 16-18-23:YOGAXRUNNERS+ TRAIL RUNNING + DOLOMITES Alta Via 2= HOLIMITES

Hello !
After the very successful ‘edition zero’ last year on Alta Via 1 (from Lake Braies to Passo Duran), this year it will be replicated on the Alta Via 2 from June 16th to 23rd!

Holimites will allow you to:

  • run and walk with the Holimites trail running guide Andreas Irsara (first class athlete and mountaneer) from “rifugio” to “rifugio”, with no fussing about your luggage, that will be transported for you.
  • to be filmed and photographed in breathtaking environments by photographer (and trail runner) Augusto Mia Battaglia
  • last, but not least:
    you’ll have the unique opportunity to practice YOGAXRUNNERS twice a day with our special Yoga teacher Tite Togni (read more about Tite in the article below):
  • Morning, PRE-RUN: 
    a practice of awakening, to better prepare the body and breath for the upcoming “enduring” run and walk.  Salutations to the Sun and standing poses will open and oxigenate the joints that are subjected to the hard work of running (ankles, knees, hips and chest), and thus will  prevent injuries and optimize your stride.
  • Afternoon, POST-RUN:
    a “restorative” , mostly passive, practice, with poses that use the force of gravity and breath to restore space and alignment to the tissues and joints  that have been contracted during the run.  The “recovery” time will be amazingly fast and complete!

Who is Tite Togni?

A certified Iyengar teacher since 2006 and creator of the method YOGAXRUNNERS, ultra-marathon runner and trail runner, Tite runs continuously even 100km around the Mont Blanc “thanks to yoga”, and from her unique experience both as a yoga practitioner and as athlete comes her mission to spread yoga among the runners’ world.

She often travels to India, Pune, to study from the source, the very Iyengar family, as she did recently, where she interviewed BKS Iyengar on yoga and running. She also ran the Mumbai Marathon, ranking 1st of her age group.

Her continuous improvements in running due to the yoga fast recovery and injury prevention, led her in the same present year to reach Personal Best both in half marathon (1:38) and in marathon (3:27). Moreover she ranked 10th in the Lavaredo Ultra Trail (100km with 6000m elevation gain) and recently she won the 100ELode, a 100km mountain race in Vicenza Alps.

Tite  has developed a yoga program that allows anyone to develop strength, balance, concentration through body awareness. YOGAXRUNNERS is a practice aimed at  “running with your head and not only with your legs”, in perfect alignment, in Tadasana, stable and light at the same time, as in the the Mountain Pose.

Tite regularly teaches YOGAXRUNNERS in Brescia, Vicenza and Milano. She writes articles for Yoga Journal Italia, Correre and Runners World.
